Commodity Oils

For catering establishments and small manufacturers, we are able to offer without anti-oxidant, and a choice of anti-oxidant depending on whether you are an exporter.

Sunflower Oil

Cold Pressed, unrefined sunflower oil has a nutty flavour, and is seriously healthy. Comes from the Free State, and is especially delicious in stir fries, salad dressings, muffins, and carrot cake.

We also offer Refined sunflower oil, the stability and shelf life of which is much favoured by manufacturers and caterers. We receive it from Gauteng in bulk tankers.

The "Bulk 1000 lt" we offer is proving very successful; we deliver in a vehicle with its own pump, and we pump it into a tank which we install at your premises. The tank comes with a specially designed stand. Users find they can draw off more conveniently and more hygienically. Also available in 5 L and 20 L.

Canola Oil

Derived from the rapeseed, from which the euricic acid component has been hybridised out to less than 1 %. It has the lowest saturated fat level of any oil, and a better Omega 3/6 ratio. It's NOT a Genetically Modified crop.

We believe the cardiac advantages outweigh any possible carcinogenic and GM disadvantages presented by the oil. See Health & Technical .. pg 1 and pg 2 for more info on this.

Value-Added blends

Blended "commodity" oils and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Our winning products, moves mostly into the catering trade. Popular partly because it is more stable at high temperature, partly because its flavour doesn't overpower, and partly because it's cheap! Stronger olive flavour than "Pure" olive oil. Available nationally.

"Wilson's Original Blend" contains 22% extra Virgin olive oil, and 78% Canola oil. It's been the benchmark product since we developed it in 2001

SKY Olive blend was introduced as a "fighting" product to meet under-cutting by other players

It's Wilson's Original Blend in a consumer size, a glass bottle, and retailing @ under R40.00. Intended to fill the gap on the retail shelf between, on the one hand, Extra Virgin olive oil @ about R80.00, and on the other hand, frying oil @ about R14.00/L

Mark my words, this product will one day be our most important. Cholesterol-free, liquid butter. Try it in your mash, it's delish!

Purity and Quality

Macadamia Oil. From Mpumalanga, it has a rich, nutty taste.

Walnut Oil. From Germany, smokey taste.

Sesame Seed Oil (roasted) It's from Mexico; it's pure, unlike some commercial brands. It's for use in oriental cooking

Balsamic Vinegar. It's a 4-year balsamic vinegar, from (where else!) Modena

Grapeseed Oil. Fully refined, it's exceptionally stable; also favoured by aromatherapists and massage therapists.

Lime juice. We developed this product; it's for use in Thai cooking or with Key Lime Pie. Because it contains sulphur dioxide, it doesn't make a great beverage..

Pumpkin Seed Oil. From Styria in Austria. Delicious dark green oil

Avocado Oil. From Mpumalanga . great in a salad

Peanut Oil. Because it's very stable, its good for high-temperature cooking (eg stir fry or Wok cooking)
